If you have a Nvidia card that can handle 3D vision then you can use this. If you haven't heard 3D gaming and TV are the next big thing. Nvidia has opened up 3D Vision Discover. For Ten dollars you can get started. I searched the net for 3D glasses and found these on Ebay.

If you have a compatible graphic card this is a MUST try.

Be warned it takes a while for your eyes to adjust. Deal with it, the rewards are incredible. When you can see the game in the proper color with the glasses on your eyes have adjusted.

Just to clarify. You don't need the 120 hz monitor to use this version of Nvidia 3D. This works with any monitor, you just need a card that supports it.

Played for several hours last night using the 3D. For me, remaining in the focus of the 3D is tough. I could easily see this taking a solid week or two or more to get used to. (It's really that different) I played BC2 and MW2 to work on learning to use this new fangled device. I wish I could capture a 3D image to post. There are settings to adjust the depth perception. Nvidia recommends 15 to start, as you become used to viewing in 3d you can crank it up.

I'm far sited, so it was much easier for me to hold the focus of the 3D in large open areas. I did have some trouble when inside a house or building, after a few seconds inside it was fine.

Love 3d (I made my own underwater 3d camera back when I was into scuba)
I had thought the lcd monitor prohibited 3d in gaming due to slow refresh.
Never occurred to me to use red/blue.
COOL.
Can't wait to try this with TrackIR in ARMA 2.

I played Arma2 last night in single player just to see how it worked. In game during daylight it was fine. When I tossed night vision on in game it split the screens funky. Just an FYI this may be an issue for others.

You can make the changes on the depth of the 3D while keeping the game up. You just need to alt+tab and change it in the nvidia settings.

I ordered up a pair of glasses. I'll be curious if I'll see anything. I'm insanely nearsighted in one eye(legally blind in it) but I'm thinking since I sit so close to the monitor compared to other activities where the eye is only useful for peripheral vision, maybe it'll pick up enough of the effect from the screen to allow my brain to do the rest.

Whatever, it was only 10 bucks. I'm sure Carin and others will get a kick out of it.

War, are you saying that a 3d images is possible to produce on a screen that doesn't require two eyes seeing separate images? In other words, 3d for all the cyclops out there?

with this type of 3d the image is split with blue and red. One of my VP's at work is a gamer with one good eye. We went to a store that had this on demo. He was limited to what was seen out of the right (blue lens) eye. I'm curious to see how it would work with near sight. I haven't found any posts about it anywhere. I think it's just so new that nobody has tried it yet.

Near sight, far sight is confusing...but without my glasses EVERYTHING is blurry.....I wonder if I would get anthing out of this too. Interesting though from a sceptics view point.

yeah, other than a COMPLETE lack of depth perception(cracked my buddy in the face when I was younger "pretending" to hit him...oops), 3d is the one thing that the eye thing p's me off about hahaha. Though I've gone to Imax 3d before and could see some of the effect on very slow moving stuff so I'm curious to try it out.

All I really want is to know when someone is using the 3d so I can tea bag them!

This should work with any prescription glasses if you get the type of 3D glassess that fit over your prescription ones or I've also seen clip-ons for prescription glasses. I've actually ordered both of these to see what I get the best results from. Since the cost was so minimal, I'm not to worried about being out a lot of money if neither work. I've spent more money on more expensive/more foolish things and survived... So far.

I got my pair last night and set this up this morning and did a test game on MW2. This seems to wash out a ton of colors and didn't make things pop like in the screenshots that were displayed after setup. I was a little disappointed but it was still a little different none the less. I think it will just take a little getting used to.
